Laid off

I debated about whether to post about Larry getting laid off, but it's a big part of what's happening in our lives right now. Not everything we post on this blog has to be happy and perfect, right? Yesterday, Larry came home early and delivered the bad news. His company needed to downsize because of the economy and Larry was not the only one to lose his job. After the initial shock, we started making plans. I am optimistic that he will find something else. We both agreed that this could be an opportunity for him. We are also getting severance pay and Larry spent the morning doing our tax return while networking with people to find a job opening so we are going to weather this storm. We could use some prayers.

I'm sorry Sonja! We've been through that before too and it was a good thing in the end, but the uncertainty is still hard.

When I first heard, my heart dropped. I will be adding your family to my prayers. Tom thinks highly of Larry and believes he will find another job soon.((hugs))

It's a crazy time right now. I ask Sam every night if he still has a job and luckily as of now they have left him alone.
Our prayers are with you at this time.

So sorry to hear about your bad news, but it is good to be optismistic. You always have been a positive thinker and hard worker. Keep us all posted.

I'm so sorry to hear about this, you guys. I wish there was something we could do to help. Maybe there is. Please let us know what we can do.

What line of work is Larry interested in transitioning to?

Aaron got laid off in Dec., right before Christmas and right after our baby was born. I feel your pain. It's been really stressful. We found out a few days ago that he's accepted w/ the Othello police dept. and possibly Toppenish soon. I know good things will happen for you guys! Hang in there and we'll keep our ears open for you!
