First day of school

I know this is a week late, but I'm playing catch up. Jared and David started school one week ago today. It was a rough start because the bus driver completely missed their bus stop and they were a half hour late for school. However, they came home excited and had lots to tell me.

Later on while Jared was at soccer practice, David sat and talked to me about school. He said he didn't like 1st grade and would prefer to just skip to 2nd grade where it's "funner." I told him that he should discuss this with his teacher and ask if he could just take the test to go to 2nd grade. He was willing to give 1st grade another try. On Wednesday, David came running up to me with the most excited look on his face. He practically screamed, "My teacher said I could take the test in just nine months!!! Then I can go into 2nd grade!!!" I could just feel his excitement and I gave him a high-five. He was on cloud nine for the rest of the evening.
